Silent Love – 20

Continued from previous post –

“I think your cousin sister is correct, better do it early and Rohini is a really good choice. If I had one younger brother I would also think the way Vaishali is putting up.” Ranadive

All of them enjoyed the discussion and Vaishali leaves Rohit’s cabin along with Ranadive.

Ranadive goes to her table, thinks for a while, then calls Joshi on phone, and tells him about the discussion in the Rohit’s cabin. Now she begins to move to Joshi’s cabin and enters it. There she sees Rohini with him and Joshi winks her and points with a small shake of his head that she should come after some time. He loudly tells Ranadive that he is presently busy with his work with Rohini and she can come after some time.

Rohini is very unaware of the change of situation and listens to the conversation between Joshi and Ranadive and luckily for her she also has observed that Joshi had winked Ranadive! That means there was something going on amongst them. Her mind cautions her that she should be more careful while working on the files in the presence of Mr. Ranadive.

Lunchtime and all have gathered in the canteen room of the office. Each has occupied their usual chair and Vaishali comes there with Rohit. Both are searching to find if Rohini is come and there they spot her with her friends sitting in that usual corner sit. Vaishali looks to Rohit expectantly. Vaishali wishes all gathered and calls Rohini. Pushes Rohit expecting that he will go up to Rohini and propose. Reluctantly Rohit with a jovial mood approaches Rohini and....

Every body was curious about what is going on. As a French man would do Rohit bends and sitting on one knee near Rohini offers his hand and says loudly, “Rohini I want to marry you and so here I am proposing for your hand for all life!” on hearing that all the girls leer with fun. They are all looking to Rohini to know her reaction. Rohini with a gracious smile waves to Rohit and tells him, “Thanks for the proposal but I need time to think on that. You will have to give me some time before we decide about it.” This reply was no surprise for them since they all knew about the development of the stranger. One girl asks in a joking mood, “What about Mahendra!” on that the other girls laugh out loudly. However Vaishali does not like the way that girl commented and she looks very much upset mainly because on hearing that query from that girl Rohini blushes in such a way that some things become rather obvious.

Rohit stands up and now wants to know and this was his true reaction on the way Rohini blushes; “Rohini can I ask you one more question? What I happen to hear about the stranger and also comments from the office colleagues, is there any truth that you are developing interest in him!” this straight query exposes his rather immature typical man’s approach to such matters and makes all the girls laugh nervously. Rohini looks straight at Rohit and let know him that the stranger is her distant relation and she really cannot say if she is developing any additional relation with him! This reply confuses Vaishali but her resolve to get Rohit and Rohini together was so firm that she makes her mind and decides to visit Rohini’s apartment the same day evening. She does not talk of it but she also fixes many other things of what to do with that Mahendra. All obstacles in the marriage of Rohit and Rohini shall be removed by any means!

Vaishali inadvertently speaks out, “Let us all invite Mr. Mahendra at our office so that we shall all know of him. I have heard that Mahendra is a very handsome man and also very decent in his mannerism. So friends do you all agree that we shall invite Mahendra for a small party at the office? All staff particularly girls beam to each other but they do not say anything since inviting him on such a trivial grounds was not a good idea. Though nobody except Ranadive take a note of the changes in Rohibni’s face, it becomes red and also turns a little dark as if the idea had crept some sort of fear in her mind. Ranadive was not so sure but decides to talk about the whole incidence to her boss, Joshi.
