Employment

Part 82
In addition to that the translator had pasted the conversation on the video clip that accompanies it. This makes it easy for Veena to follow the conversation along with the video recording. Original Arabic conversation was replaced by English translation on the video and that makes understanding all the event more clear. A pen drive with the video clip was in that envelop that contained the papers also. Veena begins to see the video clip first as that was easier to follow.
Mustaffa - "These young girls want to do career in stead of marrying and producing children for we men, some thing should be done to stop it. Woman's place is at our feet but today we see they are trying to compete us. Kafr all over the world have spoiled them. We as true Muslim must stop that. Do you know Yakub our prophet – peace be upon him – had the same opinion." Mustaffa utters with contempt written on his face.
Yakub - Sir, times have changed and we should accept the new trend and allow our females a chance to do what they want to do.
Mustaffa - Yakub you are an idiot. This mentality of you young people has spoiled these women, we should put them under our feet as our Prophet - peace be upon him - has always asked us to do.
Yakub with a delirious smile asked, "How you can say this in the modern world where man and woman are equal"?
Yemeni, shows agreement with Yakub supporting him by facial gestures but does not utter anything.
On that, Mustaffa says some bad words and tells both of them to read Hadith.
On that it appears that Mustaffa spends some time to search out some books from his bag. Finally he gets the bag. He opens that bag and takes out a fat book. Holding it high up in his both hands he exclaims, "This is the book that collects all Hadith stories every Arab must read and observe. There was a smile as if he had won some big battle. Both Yakub and Yemeni look to that book but do not touch it.
"If you men do not want to believe me I am here reading the book to show you what Apostle of Allah had to say about women". On that Yakub and Yemeni look to each other and show some surprise on their faces. They then occupy seats in that room while Mustaffa with an air of a Mullah stands and begins to read the book.
Mustaff says to both men, "Look here this Hadith;
Narrated Ibn Mas'ud:
A man raped a woman (unlawfully, perforce) and then went to the Prophet and informed him. Allah revealed;
And you offer prayers perfectly at the two ends of the day and in some hours of the night (i.e. the five compulsory prayers). Truly! Good deeds remove (cancel) the evil deeds and small sins, (raping a woman is a small sin according to Mohammad) (11.114). The man asked Allah's Apostle, "Is it for me?" He said, "It is for all my followers".
After reading the Hadith with a big smile Mustaffa tells them that whatever we do, all our sins are forgiven and forgotten by Merciful Allah as we pray five times and so you people are unnecessarily worried about anything. Then he turned some pages and began to read one more Hadith.
Yakud and Yemeni look very much perplexed on listening to that Hadith.
Mustaffa read,
Narrated Ibn 'Abbas:
The Prophet said: "I was shown the Hell-fire and that the majority of its dwellers were women who were ungrateful". It was asked, "Do they disbelieve in Allah?" (Or are they ungrateful to Allah?) He replied, "They are ungrateful to their husbands and are ungrateful for the favors and the good (charitable deeds) done to them. If you have always been good (benevolent) to one of them and then she sees something in you (not of her liking), she will say, 'I have never received any good from you".
Yakub abruptly stops Mustaffa and demands to know, "How can that be? Men and women are equal as per present understanding in what I believe".
On that Mustaffa smilingly rejects him by telling that our Prophet is all knowing and what he says is more important to a true Muslim, look one more Hadith and he reads that Hadith from that book.
Narrated Abu Huraira:
Al-Hasan bin asked Apostle of Allah, what is the status of a woman in Islam?
On that Allah's Apostle tells him that woman is the property of her husband. She is merely a preferred property and so husband should take special care for her otherwise wife is like any other pet that man keeps for his pleasure.
And so, Mustaffa tells Yakub and Yemeni why these women were put in hell-fire as mentioned in the earlier Hadith. A woman must obey her husband and so here; as Ibna is my betrothed wife by her father's promise I own her as per our Islam and so I have come here to take her with me, come what may! Mustaffa looks very annoyed that he cannot get Ibna as yet. Then he tells both men that as a true Muslim you have to help me in getting my property, that means this girl Ibna.
Yakub and Yemeni show no further interest in Mustaffa's blabber but as Mustaffa keeps the book on table and takes out his fat purse, pulling two bundles on notes they begin to look interested in his points! Mustaffa throws those two bundles of note on the table where two young Arabs were sitting. "This is just a token, more shall come as I get the girl. You men are going to make some real money".
